About the Band

Swing 7 is the most authentic swing band in the North Bay area. Swing 7 would be a great choice of music and entertainment for your wedding or private parties.

Swing 7 plays all types of music including: Swing, Jazz, Latin, R&B and almost every kind of music you can imagine. The band members have tons of experience, having played with groups all over California, Nevada, United States and on cruise ships.

The band was founded after playing in a jam session setting at the former Silverado Tavern and Restaurant in Calistoga over ten years ago. Swing 7 has played for parties, both at private residences and in clubs and at public events in parks, halls and restaurants, including wedding receptions and fund raisers in the Napa Valley, Sonoma County and Sacramento areas. The band has also played at jazz festivals in and around the North Bay area. Swing 7 had the honor of playing for the former Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

You can see, hear and dance to the Swing 7 at the Hydro Grill & Bar & on Lincoln Avenue in the center of downtown Calistoga every Sunday evening from 7 to 10. The group has now been playing a steady engagement at the "Hydro" for over ten years..

The band consists of trumpet, saxophone, trombone, guitar, keyboard, bass and drums. Swing 7 can be enlarged to eight pieces with the inclusion of a baritone saxophone. The band is also capable of playing as a smaller group, depending on the client's budget.

Swing Seven tries to mix up the entertainment with both instrumental favorites and many vocals from almost all band members. Dennis Hubert's voice is perfect for Bobby Daren's "Beyond the Sea" and "Mack the Knife". The professional sound is similar to famous bands of the Swing era.

Sample CDs from Swing Seven's repertoire (several hundred songs) are available to prospective clients as well as on sale during performances.
